Strategic Planning

Holiday Traffic—everyone dreads it like the plague. Then people start wondering, “When is the right time to leave so I don’t get stuck in it?” It’s all about timing. I make sure to adjust my schedule to ensure I finish everything I need to do in order to get out on time.
So why is it that when it comes to strategic planning, business owners struggle to make time for it? It’s called being controlled by the whirlwind (traffic). The daily chaos can feel overwhelming, making it seem impossible to break free; at least, that’s what you might think. Sometimes, it takes a significant push to make you take action.
In other cases, business owners think, “I don’t need a strategic plan. I started my business without one, and it’s going great.” However, ask yourself this: “Could I have achieved more if I had a clear plan earlier on?”
It’s proven that when business owners have a strategic plan, they are significantly more successful. The question is, when is the right time to create one? The answer is now. The clearer your vision of where you’re headed, the better you can avoid traffic. Do you know where your company is headed? Let’s rephrase that with these qualifying questions:
- Are you working tirelessly yet feel like you’re accomplishing too little?
- Where do you see your company in 5 years? How about in 10 years?
- Do you know how to get there?
Start working on your strategic plan now to effectively navigate upcoming challenges, reduce potential obstacles, and enhance your quality of life.
